The Peninsula Apartment Council of The Peninsula Housing and Builders Association awarded two of The Breeden Company’s Newport News apartment communities with Community Awards of Excellence at the 2008 annual Peninsula Community Awards of Excellence. The annual Community Awards of Excellence are presented to outstanding properties on the peninsula based on first appearance-signage, landscaping, grounds, common areas, building exteriors, clubhouse and overall attractiveness.
Featherstone South Apartments in Kiln Creek won the Gold Award for communities completed in 1995-1999 and Villages of Stoney Run won the Silver Award for communities completed in 2005 and after.
